Oil tankers still not allowed to berth at Dalian Xingang oil port
time: 07-27-2010
From:

C1 Energy (Shanghai) – Jul 21, 2010 ---The embargo on the Dalian Xingang oil port has not been lifted by Jul 21, although the port was re-opened to navigation from late Tuesday, C1's survey found.
Container ships could come to berths at Xingang oil port from 17:00 of Jul 20, but crude and oil products tankers were still not allowed to load or unload, according to a source with the Maritime Safety Administration of Liaoning Province.
Because oil slick cleanup was still underway, Xingang oil port continued embargoing oil tankers, a port source told C1.
Dalian Wepec has been applying for the green-light to receive crude cargoes and load oil products, said a refinery source.
Crude VLCC "Yuan Shan Hu" still stayed in anchorage away from Xingang port at present, receiver of which was unknown.
"We have to send back feedstock carrier to Shandong, because we received no notice on rescindment of prohibition," said an oil product trader with oil tanks in port area of Xinggang port.
It is hard to clean up oil spill in the sea near Dalian in ten days, Liu Fenglin, an official with the State Oceanic Administration told domestic media earlier.
